FECON Corporation won a bid of nearly VND 500 billion in February

In February 2023, FECON Corporation (code FCN -stock code HoSE) has just announced to record 4 new bidding packages, with a total value of nearly VND 500 billion. 

In the field of strength of foundation and underground construction, FECON Corporation continues to be trusted to deliver the package "supply, mass pile construction and pile testing" with a total contract value of VND 179 billion at Nhon Trach 3&4 Thermal Power Plant project. Currently, FECON Corporation has brought back 5 autonomous robots and is expected to deploy mass PHC pile pressing in early March. 
Previously, at this project, FECON also won the bidding package "Construction of foundations and infrastructure" worth more than VND 400 billion. Nhon Trach 3.4 Thermal Power Plant project is a national important project, under power planning 7, with a capacity of 1,500 MW with a total investment of 1.4 billion USD. This is the first LNG thermal power project in Vietnam, contributing to the implementation of the "Commitment to net zero emissions by 2050" of the Prime Minister at the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26). 
In the field of underground infrastructure, FECON continues to record more packages "Construction of the southern enclosure wall of Terminal 11" worth more than 62 billion VND, after many tenders signed under the pilot Metro Line 3 project of Hanoi City. Currently, this package will start construction with 2 phases including the main station part (constructed within 4 months from March) and the entrance part of this station is expected to be constructed within 1 month. (starting from March 2, 2024). 
Also in February, FECON Corporation continued to record a new contract worth VND 75 billion at the Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant project in Ha Tinh. With this contract, FECON will undertake the construction of coal warehouse piles at this project. Previously, at Vung Ang Thermal Power Plant project, FECON signed many other bidding packages such as: leveling, construction of box culverts, prefabricated box culverts... with a total contract value of more than one trillion dong. 

In the field of infrastructure construction, FECON continues to win the package "Construction of the section of route Km91+800 – Km114+200" with a value of VND 147 billion, at Hau Giang – Ca Mau component project of the North – South East Expressway Construction Project in the period of 2021 – 2025. Participating in this bidding package, FECON will support the construction of the above section (including survey, design construction drawings) with detailed work contents including: road foundation construction, road surface construction, background treatment, horizontal drainage, traffic safety assurance and construction support for the route, within 1020 days. 
Thus, in February, the total value of FECON's winning bid packages in February 2023 was VND 463 billion. 
In the context that the world economic situation in general and the construction industry in particular have not shown many signs of "warming up" in the first months of 2023, the fact that FECON continuously won new bidding packages is a positive signal. This shows that businesses are flexible and adaptive to develop even in difficult times.
