MOU signing signature between FECON and WRU
Specificly, FECON and WRU will cooperate in the fields of science, education and economics. Through the cooperation, FECON desires to receive scientific & technological support,personnel training and technical advice for specific projects, especially the irrigation infrastructure projects related to coastal flood, erosion protection to mitigate natural disasters due to climate change. In the field of scientific research and training, FECON will also accompany with WRU to actualize ideas & scientific projects of the university and institutes into reality, helping to exploit effectively brainpower resource from 50 professors, associate professors; more than 100 doctorals and 300 masters who are teaching and researching at WRU. At the same time, WRU expects FECON to support their students with internship, implement scientific topics associated with real projects, givefinancial aids for poor students, scholarships for high-gifted ones… Spoken at the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Viet Khoa, Chairman of FECON said that WRU is the university, providing main scientific and technical resources for agricultural infrastructure and rural development sector, natural resourceinfrastructure, whosescientific products always aim at solving specific problems for sustainable development in agricultural sector - rural development, disaster mitigation and against climate changeSince 2010, FECON has had much opportunities to cooperate with WRU through workshops and scientific projects. Thereby, FECON has found the potential in sciencific technology and human resource training when bilaterally cooporating with WRU. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Kim, Principal of WRU, considered that this signing ceremony will be a prerequisite for co-development and carrying out cooperative projects, sticking scientific research into practice, bringing benefits for both sides in various fields of science, education and economy. Immediately after the signing, WRU and FECON will proceed in researching and implementing on specific projects, including projects in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces. As an infrastructure corporate built and developed on the basis of science and technology with 15 companies including 4 joint-venture company with Japan, nearly VND 2,500 billion of revenue in 2016, operateing mainly in the field of foundations, underground construction, transport infrastructure, urban environmental infrastructure, energy infrastructure, and currently extending to irrigation infrastructure, FECON hopes that the cooperation with WRU will bring practical benefits to both FECON and WRU in competitive economy today. University, not only provideshigh-quality human resources but also creates mutual environment for research & creation solving practical problems for enterprises. Conversely, corporate plays a role in stimulating creation, orienting training and providing resources for the development of university.
