FECON sponsors the presenting ceremony of Bell, Drum and Gong to Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi

On the occasion of 1,000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi, on 5th October 2010, the Bell Casting Committee and the Hanoi Handicrafts Association held a ceremony to present a set of bell, drum, and gong to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi and organized a gathering for clubs of elderly people.

With the approval of Hanoi People’s Committee, the Hanoi Handicrafts Association  organized the casting of the bell name “Dai Hong Chung Thang Long Linh Tu” (3470kg weight, 3.05 m high and 1.65 m in diameter); the great drum (3 meter high, 2.35 m in diameter); and the brass gong with a diameter of 2.01 m. After more than 100 days, three treasures was completed and put into the Heavenly Dragon Yard. This is the spiritual gift, kept at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, which  FECON Jsc. dedicated to the late emperors and ancestors in the event of Great Ceremony of 1,000 year Thang Long, Hanoi. Attending the ceremony there were Mr. Ha Van Nui – Vice President of TWMTTQ Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ba – Chairman of the Association of Village Fine Arts and Craft Hanoi – Head of the bell casting ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Thanh – Vice Chairman of Casting Committee – General director of the program; Mr. Nguyen Van Duc – Deputy Director of Craft Village Hanoi and Mr. Pham Viet Khoa – FECON’s chairman -, as well as the presence of bell casting staff and Buddhist followers, all sincerely offers the three treasures in the chanting mass. 42 47 PVK
