Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Do Manh Cuong - Deputy General Director of FECON Joint Stock Company expressed: "UTC is the cradle of training high-quality human resources, career orientation and research of new technologies in infrastructure and railways sectors, in line with the development strategies of both companies. Therefore, to realize the goal, FECON and Thang Long Corporation have strengthened cooperation with the UTC to maximize the party's strengths".

Mr. Do Manh Cuong - representative of FECON stated

With the orientation of developing new technologies, especially related to railway infrastructure, urban railways and projects requiring high and advanced technical level, FECON aims to collaborate with the UTC in training outstanding students who will join the workforce of both companies after graduation.

In addition, the representative of FECON also shared its commitment to providing hands-on experience through direct participation in projects. This will allow engineering students and faculty members specializing in railway and infrastructure to gain practical exposure, ultimately benefiting businesses and contributing to the overall growth of Vietnam's construction industry. Given the government's push for high-speed and urban railway projects, early involvement will enable all parties to be well-prepared—starting with human resource development.

Aiming to become Vietnam's leading infrastructure development and construction corporation by 2030, with a vision to 2040, FECON focuses on developing its strengths in infrastructure and particularly in high-tech transport infrastructure such as high-speed railways and urban railways. This ambition has been demonstrated through FECON's cooperation with both domestic and foreign specialized units, including Thang Long Corporation... and some units specializing in construction and research in this field.

With professional understanding, FECON assesses that the basic construction industry has the characteristic of slow technical and technological changes. However, the high-speed railway and urban railway industries are outside that rule. This is also the attraction for companies like FECON to focus investment resources according to the Government's development policy to accumulate enough scientific, technical, technological foundations, capacity as well as time to meet the needs of the market in the future.

Regarding corporate preparations, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - General Director of FECON emphasized investments in technology, workforce, and equipment. In particular, FECON is one of the leading companies in receiving and transferring technology. Previously, FECON was the first company to receive the transfer of VSC pile technology to Vietnam and establish basic standards. Currently, FECON is also moving towards building basic standards for large diameter soil cement piles such as RAS piles... with the ability to be widely applied in urban construction. At the Lach Huyen port project No. 5, 6, FECON successfully applied RAS Column technology for the first time in Vietnam.

“For urban railway construction technology, high-speed railway or underground works, we have caught up with the global standards and started to apply AI technology in automatic control and equipment control. This is an area where the UTC can take the lead and create technological breakthroughs for all parties involved”. – Mr. Tung shared.

CEO Nguyen Thanh Tung expressed his desire to promote the strengths of all parties to contribute to the development of high-quality human resources.

Through this agreement, FECON seeks to collaborate with UTC to leverage their respective strengths and establish a practical partnership, setting a strong foundation for future success. This three-party collaboration is expected to help businesses proactively address workforce demands, anticipate market opportunities and challenges, and contribute to Vietnam's construction sector—particularly the North-South high-speed railway project.

The cooperation agreement program between the three companies includes seven main contents. In which, the UTC organizes specialized railway engineering training programs (in civil engineering for transport infrastructure) and supplying high-quality human resources for both companies.

Thang Long Corporation and FECON provide internship and hands-on experience opportunities for UTC students. The three parties coordinate to research scientific topics, transfer technology as needs; apply and promote brands and products of the parties…
