FPL Continues to implement Hoa Binh 5 Wind Power Plant Project in Bac Lieu Province

On March 19, 2021, FECON Piling & Construction Joint Stock Company (FPL) officially signed the contract for “Hoa Binh 5 Wind Power Plant - Phase 1 projects with HACOM Bac Lieu Energy Joint Stock Company with contract value of 83 billion VND.

This is one of the key projects of FPL in 2021 with scope of work is supplying and piling D800 PHC piles for 13 Turbine pillar foundation (equivalent to 50% of the project’s amount). Pile foundation of the Project is carried out by driving method (diesel hammer and hydraulic hammer) which is for the installation of pile with diameter of D800mm and depth from 40m to 60m. Construction schedule is 100 days, expected to finish on June 28, 2021. FPL is committed to complete the Project on schedule, strictly ensuring construction quality and safety, environmental sanitation.

Hoa Binh 5 Wind Power Plant Project (Phase 1) is located in Vinh Hau Commune and Vinh Thinh Commune, Hoa Binh District, Bac Lieu Province. The Owner is HACOM Bac Lieu Energy Joint Stock Company with a total investment  of 3,200 billion VND. The project has a capacity of 80MW, built on 32ha with 26 wind turbine pillars, capacity from 3.0 - 3.3 - 4.2 MW / turbine, over 140m high. This is the largest wind power project on the mainland in the Mekong Delta in the field of using clean energy to produce electricity. When put into operation and officially generated electricity in October 2021, Hoa Binh 5 wind power plant will provide an average power output of over 280 million kWh / year.

After receiving the contract of Hoa Binh5 Wind Power Plant Project, FPL immediately deployed to mobilize financial resources, human resources and equipment for the project, specifically:

  • Personnel: More than 20 people, including: PM, SM, SE, Safety engineer, QA/QC, Technician, Workers, Machine driver...
  • Equipment: mobilizing 3 driving lines of D800 piles.
  • Other equipment such as labor protection, signs, barriers, hard railings ... are fully equipped, ensuring safety for construction work.

Currently, FPL has completed 01 Turrbine pillar foundation and highly focuses on the remaining work, determined to complete the project on schedule.
